Leading people astray!

What God says about leading people astray?

In Micah 3: 1-12 here we have a story  about the leaders of the church who was leading the people astray from God’s word. They were making the people comfortable in their sinful life style by speaking a message of false hope and security.

Thestuck in life leaders was encouraging the people to sin, because they refused to lead the people back to God. And because of their lifestyle God called Micah to be God’s messenger.

Pastors and prophets today have that same task. They must not bend to pressure even from within the church to conform to sinful beliefs, behaviors or lifestyles that are common in the world. Instead, they must be God’s voice for truth, righteousness and holiness.

The whole world must be aware of the dangers of false teachings that people just would be saved by the blood of Christ and therefore have nothing to do, no works to be required from them. Jesus parables warn us for such careless thoughts or ignorance of our necessary duties to be able to enter the Kingdom of God.
