Your Spouse Can Never Meet all Your Needs!

on

1 Corinthians 7:33 But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.

Did you know that in most marriages either one or both spouses are looking toward their spouses to meet all their needs?

Where did this notion of thinking that some people have adopted that your spouse will meet all your needs? First let me start by saying your spouse will never meet all your needs. So, let us get this fairy tale of lies out of the way and let us deal with truth. No one can meet all your needs.

Marriage has its own set of problems. You will have moments when you will be disappointed, you will have different views, you will argue at times it is called Marriage.

So please stop looking at your spouse to meet all of your needs” start communicating with each other instead of at one another. It might take both of you going to counseling to get to the root of the issue.

Anytime one expects others to meet all their needs that person has a void in their life. This is a dangerous place to be if it is not deal with. For it can destroy a marriage and even the individual. We cannot put those types of expectations on a person. It is not realistic.  The damage that you bring are contempt, irritated, apprehensive, exhausted, anger, malice to both parties and to the marriage.

Therefore, counseling is needed for both parties.
