Exchange your Guilt for Freedom

on

1 John 1:9 says “if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

For we no longer must feel guilty or feel ashamed any longer. We used to walk around feeling as though we are worthless and that what we do does not matter. Yes, we were born into sin, but through the blood of Jesus Christ we are no longer bound to guilt and shame. Yes, we all make mistakes take accountability and make it right.

When we begin to condemn ourselves that does not come from God. Condemnation comes from the enemy, for he wants you and I to be in prison. When we accept Christ love for our lives, we are no longer bound to being a prisoner.

Are you beating yourself up over something that is bringing condemnation to you? Do you feel as though you are not worth it? Lift your head up, stop beating yourself up and exchange your guilt for “Freedom” Jesus paid the price, you are free its time you start walking in your freedom.

Lord help us to look to you first before we reach to what we are so used to doing. Remove the guilt that comes along with shame. Help us to know that our mistakes are not a sign of failure but that they are steps of growth and maturity. Let the lessons we learn from our mistakes guide us to dig more into our personal relationship with you. In Jesus name I pray, AMEN, AMEN and AMEN!

  4. Hello my dear friend. Thanks for writing this. It is so easy to condemn and shame ourselves, sometimes harder and faster than others do. We need to recognize the spirit of conviction from the HOLY SPIRIT and not confuse it with condemnation.
    Romans 8:1
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,”
We somehow forget this. The Holy Spirit is inside us to remind us we are new creatures in Christ and that we should act like it. When we don’t He nudges us and reminds us that we have gone off track.
You are absolutely right. We need to replace our guilt with the freedom and forgiveness that comes through Jesus Christ. Thank You for the reminder.
    Blessings my Sister. Victoria
