Colossians 3:13 says, Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Many of us know that it is always best to forgive then to seek revenge or justice for ourselves. And though we know this we still do not forgive all the time, why is that? Because we want revenge.
The first thing we do when we are hurt is go into plan of an attack, our body defenses immediately prepare for it. Your wounded on the field and you need physical medical care it is your choice as to what you want for your injury.
What you do next will determine your prognosis. We can choose to be set free or we can become a prisoner to the one who hurt you. In closing remember forgiveness never excuses or gives a person permission for anything, what forgiveness does is sets you free. While releasing that person or persons into God’s hands.
What is your next step? Put that pride aside.
