John 13:7 says, Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”
The scene took place when Jesus was washing his disciple’s feet. Here both pronouns are emphatic and convey a rebuke to Peter. His words had almost implied that the Lord’s. act was wholly out of place, as of one who knew not what he was doing.
The opposite was really the case. “What I do thou knowest not now.”
In life we do not know the reasoning of a thing. And for that reason, we all become scared, frighten or disheartening. Causing us to pretty much start to doubt. The Lord is saying to us, you do not realize now “What I Am Doing,” but later you will understand.
