Ignoring God

on

Romans 3:23 says” For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

No one likes to be ignored we all want to be taken serious enough that people will pay attention to us. When we are ignored, it bothers us, we wonder why? We may never know the reason as to why a person has chosen to ignore us. And yet we do what we do not like done to us.

In according to this scripture Jesus is telling us that we all have fallen short of the glory of God, we have sinned because we have chosen to ignore God. Had man never ignored God there would have been no sin here on earth.

There are three ways that we ignore a person, by sight, mouth, and attitude! When we pretend that something is not there. When we close our eye, we are saying I refuse to see what is in front of me. And last but least when we close our mouth and say absolutely nothing when in fact we should respond.

Think of the person who is on your job who comes around you allot but because their personality is different then what you are used to you ignore them. What about the lady who sits behind you in church she is always shouting saying “amen” all the time and it drives you crazy so when she turns around and say hello you ignore her by chatting with someone close to you instead of saying hello to her.

And what about your best friend you love her, but she is happens to be a know it all, so when she speaks you shut your mouth instead of responding back to her when she starts a conversation.

We may feel that we have good reasoning as to why we ignore, but what reason are we giving God when we ignore Him? I think I will let this marinate for a while.

  1. Jesus says…For as much as you have done it unto the least of my brothers you have done it unto me. How we treat others is a reflection of how we treat God.

  2. I know the pain of being invisible. We are never invisible to Jesus. We need to love with His love. So much easier said than done! All can benefit from this post!
