Reprobated Mind

on

Romans 1:28 says, and just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper.”

This sounds like much of what we see happening in our world today.

Paul is saying that these people did not bother to acknowledge God. It is not as if they do not know better. They know perfectly well what they were doing. They choose to live life the way they wanted to, ungodly without a care.

The first time I read this verse I was shocked, because I thought wow! God let them just do what they wanted. Why would God do that? It was then that I realized that God gives man “FREE -WILL.” One can either serve God or not serve Him. God will never make or force anyone to accept Him into their heart.

And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or consider Him worth knowing. God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do things which are improper and repulsive. Until they were filled permeated and saturated with every kind of unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice, and mean-spiritedness.

You might be saying this is harsh, but do you know that anyone of us can find ourselves just like the scripture says. That is why it is imperative that we live our lives according to the word of God.

May you all have a blessed day today.

Hello Qwennor, glad to see you today. You are welcome my sister. A great reminder for us all. So that we do not become like that.
