Luke 6:28 says, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
It’s easy to pray for those whom we like that’s easy to do, but to pray for those who mistreat you is a sign of righteousness.
Happy Monday guys! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. In the photo we see words that we all have heard. And yet each one of us struggle with them.
The first thing we want to do when someone hurts us is to fight back, that is only human. God tells us that we are to pray for those who hurt you. In our minds we are like,” why would I want to pray for the person who has hurt me?” To us that makes no sense, right?
Could it be that God knows something that we do not understand about praying? Yes, God knows that it is much better for your soul to prosper and let your ego be hurt. Praying for them heals you, not the offense. When we pray for those who hurt us, we release them into God’s hands.
Our egos fight us on this topic a lot for the ego says,” you cannot allow them to get away with that? They just made a fool of you in front of your peers. Everyone sees you as a weak person.
May we always choose to drop to our knees and pray for those who hurt us instead of reaching for harmful words to hurt them. Lord, you already know how hard it is for us, you already know that we fight with our egos daily. Lord, we cannot continue to let our egos control what decisions we make. Help us to always make Godly choices even in the demanding situations.
Have a Blessed Monday 😇🙏
