~It shall Not Prosper~

on

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.” Isaiah: 54:17

Let me ask you question. When God allows you to see Him remove your enemies, how do you feel?

Without going into a lot of details yesterday morning when I woke up, I asked God to close the mouth of this person. I no longer wanted to hear this person’s voice that day at all.

Arriving to work I saw this person her countenance told me that God has done it. During the day I heard those who sat near her asked her. “Why are you so quite”? She said that she was chilling today. But I already knew what the truth was. God had answered my prayer.

By the time lunch time came I looked around the room as we were leaving for lunch to clock out and she did everything she could do to not look at me. Now because my desk is close to hers of course we can see each other. When I turned around from my desk, she immediately put her head down.

Later that day I started to feel sad for her. Why would I feel that way? God said that He will take care of my enemies. And that every tongue that rises up against us He shall condemn.

Why is it that we feel empathy when God takes care of our enemies? I guess that is a question that we will never have the answers to. One thing is for sure I had left her in God’s hand and now He will do the work that needs to take place within her heart.

My sister, this is such an important lesson for us to learn. Trusting in God in every aspect of our lives is critical for us to be conformed into the image of Jesus. I believe your empathy reflected His heart He has for all of us – He doesn’t want anyone to be lost.

Thank you. For sharing your comment. I do pray that my heart always reflects Christ. I have always believed that GOD teaches us lessons all throughout our day, it is up to us what we learn and allow Him to do in our lives.

  3. That’s the heart of the merciful…we don’t delight when those who make themselves our enemy fall into the ‘hands of the living God’. They have no idea who they are up against….

I love what you said. It is so very true. They have no idea who they are up against.

    Have a bless day sis.

Desiray, I love this post, your kind heart toward your enemy, and all these supporting comments. You might prayerfully consider taking one further step: to speak and pray blessings over your enemy. A couple of times in my life when I have done this, He has later turned those enemies into kind-spirited friends. Just a suggestion.

Anyway, you are a light in my life, and I thank you for another excellent post. May God bless you.

    Hugs,

    Gwennon
