Stop being Ugly

Romans 12:16

Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.

We know what harmony means, right? But do we know what it looks like?

To live in harmony requires humility. To enter each other’s circumstances, to see how you would yourself feel. Therefore, we have tension and conflict because we are not practicing humility.

In Psalm 133:1 it says, Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! To do and be good to one another in the most hearty and cordial manner; serving each other in love. Bearing one another’s burdens, sympathizing with each other in all circumstances, forgiving each other offences committed, praying with one another, and building up each other in their most holy faith. All these things are what humility look like in a person’s life.

There is nothing that disrupts harmony as much as seeking glory when every man detests a base estate and ambitiously seeks to be exalted. Do not be puffed up with an opinion of your own wisdom.

Now that we know what living in harmony looks like it is time that we start putting on garment of humility and take off that garment of self-exaltation.

Be Bless today and live in your God given purpose.
