Waiting on God

on

they that wait upon the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not be weary, they will walk and not be faintโ€ (Isaiah 40:31).

What does wait on the Lord means?

It means that we are going to be patient, we are not going to calculate in our head what is, when is, where is and how is.

In our waiting on God we will not complain, we will worship and praise God. And when we wait on God, we will be able to soar on wings like eagles, we will run and not be weary, we will walk and not faint. That my friend is what waiting looks like.

I get it I have found myself trying to calculate things especially these last couple of months. I was in a dry season that season was one I have never experienced before. Many times, I have read this scripture, but I have to say that during my dry season the Lord showed me exactly what waiting on God looks like.

I am so thankful that God has not given up on me. So, I say to you whatever your circumstance is stop complaining about it. Talk to God about it. Then wait on Him. And while you are waiting, worship, praise His name and continue to pray. He will give you the strength you need. He will restore your joy. Keep trusting in God. And before you know it you will see yourself soaring just like an eagle, your walking will become smoother, and your running will not tire you out.

Lord, you know each of us. As humans we hate to wait. We struggle with waiting; Lord teaches us to wait on you. When it gets difficult for us, and we feel we want to do it our way. Lord, I ask that you pull us back and have us sit still. Cover us Lord with your mighty hand. Saturate us with your love. In the Mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray. AMEN

  1. Amen ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ. I love the flying eagle, such a magnificent bird with such strength, stamina and grace. We can learn so much about our Christian journey from our understanding of the eagle. God is good as we trust him while we wait. The wait is a part of the test and our attitude during these seasons determine our altitude. Bless you. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

You are welcome my friend. Waiting is so hard I hate the fact that I struggle with it. But you know what? God is working through us all in this area. That I believe with all my heart.

  13. Waiting…especially when Heaven appears silent…sits us in a classroom to develop patience and trust. I don’t like it, but neither do I like medicine…though it’s good for me. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I know right โœ…๏ธ Sitting in the classroom is what we must do. End result is more than we can imagine.
