God “Never” told us to live in Yesterdays

on

Isaiah 43:19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

We cannot change what happen yesterday. Today is a new day, so let us not bring our yesterdays into the new day. Easier said than done, I know right? And here you are in the new day that you have never seen before everything is new.

Are we fearful of today that we want to hide in our yesterdays? What can you gain by living in the past that you forget your tomorrow with God? If one remains in their yesterdays, they will surely die spiritual in their yesterdays.

Of course, we have things that lingers on our minds and become heavy on our hearts. But we cannot afford to let that hinder us from today. For we walk by faith not by sight.

Look at King David when he was just a little boy while attending to his father’s sheep. Everyone feared Goliath, for this man was causing chaos everywhere he went. Little David heard the townspeople talking about Goliath. They were afraid of this bully.

David had a made-up mind that he was not going to live in yesterday, David walked by faith. And so, we know how the story ends. David killed Goliath with his sling shot.

What would of happen had David decided that he too was not going to live in his today? But that he was going to be like the rest of the towns people and live in fear.

Inclosing living in yesterdays is not where God wants you living.
