Stand Still

on

You will not have to fight this battle. Take- up your positions: stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah, and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you. 2 Chronicles 20:17

Notice how the Lord said immediately, “you will not have to fight this battle.” Why do we automatically get into that mode called; Oh my. That mode is a scary mode to be in. The Spirit of the Lord said to King Jehoshaphat do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God.

When we are faced with a vast army God is telling us those same words. This battle you will not have to fight. Knowing that we do not have to fight that battle why do we get into battle. Why are we ignoring what God has said to us? Secondly, notice that God said to King Jehoshaphat take your position and stand firm. What position was God speaking about.

I believe the position He was speaking about was, his faith. When we keep our faith in times of trouble, we will always see the deliverance the Lord will give us. In closing remember the that the battle is not yours, it is the Lord.

Happy December 1, 2022.  Have any of you started watching any Christmas programs? My family and I have been watching Hallmark Countdown to Christmas. This weekend we are putting up the tree, looking forward to doing that. Then after that we will sit back and watch A Christmas Carol written by Charles Dickens. My husband prefers Charles Dickens over George C Scott. I love both stories myself.

That’s right my friend. When we surrender to His Will. That’s when we are able to stand still in peace.

A lesson He is constantly showing me.

🙏🤗 thanks for dropping in. Have a wonderful day.

  3. Amen and he teaches us over and over again and every time, we get into battle mode. 😂😁🤣I suppose it’s the natural ‘fight or flight response.’ It’s surrendering the flesh that helps us to be still. It’s daily and constant putting the flesh under subjection. 🥰❤️💗💖🙏🏾
