Good Friday ~and ~what it Means.

Mark 9:31 says “For he was teaching his disciples, saying to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him. And when he is killed, after three days he will rise.”

A year ago, on Good Friday, it was so hard on us all. Families who have traditions with having family dinners was put aside. This year with having some of those restrictions lifted we are getting to some type of normalcy. Which means some folks will be planning their first family gathering since the pandemic.

I am wondering what message people will be hearing this weekend. What message will Pastors, and Clergy give to the people who will attend their services.

The message I am talking about is how our hearts will give a message of Jesus Christ. Will it be so traditional as always or will we mediate on the night our Lord was about to be betrayed into the hands of sinners? So often we hear this message and we become all emotional but have no real message on the inside of us.

I believe in my heart that while Jesus was on that cross, He was thinking of what the Father had told Him, that it was almost finished. I think back to the two thieves that was on the cross and one said to Him “when you enter into your kingdom remember me” even at His dying Jesus still ministered to the broken and lost man. “Jesus answered him, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.Let me ask you this, “can you imagine hearing Jesus saying those very words? Let the message of Christ rein in our hearts for salvation is for everyone!

Perhaps you stumbled upon my devotion today and you do not know Jesus, today is a great day for you to accept Him. Just pray this simple prayer. Lord, Jesus I know that you died for all mankind and I am a sinner in need of a savior. I repent of my sins and I ask you to come into my life today and help me be who you created me to be. In Jesus name, I pray AMEN!

And just like that you are born into the Kingdom of God.

May you all have a blessed Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday!

Amen, and He hung his head and said it is finished. He bore the sin’s of the world. Praise our loving Father for loving us, dying so that we may if we believe and repent have life eternal too. What a beautiful gift! Keep shining the light my friend! Give me Jesus always!
