Encouragement Works

1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

The secret of encouragement is knowing who God is.

Without encouragement, hardship becomes meaningless. The prophet Elijah struggled with discouragement and so do we. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms”

When we are encouraged in Christ, we have strength to put on our spiritual armor and remain steadfast.

Encouragement makes it easier for a Christian to live in a fallen world in a Godly way. When we are encouraged, it makes it easier for us to love people like Jesus loved. Being encouraged gives hope. It helps us through the difficult seasons of life. It helps us to be patient and show kindness.

Encouragement makes it easier to sacrifice our own desires for the advancement of God’s kingdom.
